Digital Charting
Trimac Dental Centre uses digital charting to keep your records
accurate and safe. Each dental operatory has a computer to
access your files. Our office is paperless from an internal
point of view. Our files are backed up daily via cd discs,
offsite internet backup, external harddrives, and usb cards
to quadruple protect the data. All the information is stored
and received using a very complex dental program that aids
in charting, claim submissions, and patient bookings to name
a few. We have been paperless since 1998.
Rotary Root Canals (Rotary Endodontics)
Trimac Dental Centre has the rotary endodontic systems to
perform root canal therapy. The root canal therapy can be
performed very efficiently using a motor driven filing system
that shapes the canal. A series of files are used to shape
the root to accept a presized filler. Endosonic filing is
also available which helps to shape and clean the canals.
Sometimes your dentist will also use hand files to manually
clean the root during an endodontic procedure. See the root canal

Diode Laser
A soft tissue dental laser therapy can be utilized to shape
and restore your gums during some cosmetic procedures. The
diode laser can also be used to treat apthous ulcers to help
speed up the healing process. Sometimes the diode laser is
used to stop unwanted weeping of the gum tissue to speed up
dental procedures like crowns. The laser usually does not
cause a lot of post-op sensitivity which will help to make
a speedy recovery.
J5 Myomonitor
This technology is utilized to capture your occlusal records
during comprehensive treatment. The muscle stimulator helps
to find the position of your jaws for orthotic biteplane therapy,
dentures, and bite reconstructions.
Digital Photography
Trimac utilizes digital photography to take images of your mouth to plan your treatment. This allows the patient to see the images immediately in the operatory
Intraoral Camera
This camera can help the patient see real time in their own mouth. The intraoral camera allows the dental team to look at individual teeth under some magnification to help explain treatment to the patient and to help diagnose problems.

Optio Dental Education Software

X-Box
Some of the operatories have x-box for the kids to play when
they are having their dental procedures. This helps people
to focus on the game instead of the treatment. Snowboarding
is always a favourite. (Violent games are not available in
our office)
Amalgam Separator
An amalgam separator is utilized to help remove the mercury
and silver from the water that is leaving the patients mouth
during filling removals. Without a separator the sewage containing
the mercury and silver travel into the environment via the
sewer system. In 2005, the government mandated that these filtration and separation devices
be used by dental offices to help protect the environment.
Trimac has been utilizing this technology since 2002.
